Jean-Marc Pillot has been making world-class wines since his first solo vintage in 1991. His wines embody the qualities that make Burgundy great, they are classical, refined and stylish. While the majority of his vineyards are in Chassagne-Montrachet, he also has holdings in Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, and Santenay.

Chassagne-Montrachet is well-known for its superb Chardonnay, but Jean-Marc should be credited for continuing the village’s proud tradition of red winemaking with his five hectares of Pinot Noir vines- his old-vine Clos St-Jean is one of the finest examples we know. His son Antonin has now joined the domaine and together they are growing and improving year-on-year. The construction of a purpose-built, modern winery at the entrance to Chassagne-Montrachet has provided a spacious base for vinifying their wines while in the vineyards Jean-Marc and Antonin are busy converting to organic farming methods.
