Description
A selection of the greatest vintages has been ageing Delamotte cellars. This includes the Blanc de Blancs 1999, 2002 and 2004. Disgorged upon request after a minimum of 15 years of maturation on the lees, these “Collection” wines are reaching their peak but retain a freshness and zing, albeit tamed by the years.”

From a richer, lower-acid vintage, the 1999 Blanc de Blancs Millésimé Collection is fully mature today, bursting with aromas of iodine, hazelnuts, dried fruits, flowers and brown butter. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with an enveloping, textural profile and a sapid, even saline finish that adds interest and gastronomic potential.

Zero dosage (though you’d never guess, and it isn’t stated on the label). Disgorged in two batches, January and June 2019. Part of the Delamotte Collection of vintage blanc de blancs, there was a very limited number of bottles put aside from the warm 1999 vintage. This rare release is a mass of contradictions, a perfect expression of old Chardonnay but with freshness still; powerful and with incredible depth, but also marked by a lightness of touch. Rich brioche and pastry character, with nuttiness, apricot and peach fruit, and some orange citrus.
