Mount Mary is a family owned, single vineyard estate located in the heart of the Yarra Valley. Established in 1971 by John and Marli Middleton, Mount Mary was one of the first vineyards planted in the resurgence of the Yarra Valley as a premium wine producing region.
hree generations of the Middleton family have dedicated themselves to wines of elegance, longevity and distinction. All wines are made entirely from estate grown fruit and are produced and bottled on site at Mount Mary.
Mount Mary has established a dedicated clientele of private mailing list customers and has become grown to become one of Australia’s greatest wineries.

100% destemmed and fermented with as many whole berries as possible. Left to soak for four days, pre-fermentation with one pump over per day, then plunged three times per day. 15 months in French barriques (25% new). A bright crimson red. Perfumed and seductive even at this early stage. Aromas of wild red berries, gentle spice, dark rose and bracken. Concentrated and structured with very fine, sinewy and savoury tannins. A brilliant, non-mainstream Yarra Valley pinot that’s been built to go the distance. Drink 2022 – 2035.
