Description
90-93 Points Allen Meadows
This offers excellent aromatic depth with a complex and layered nose of red, blue and black pinot fruit laced with subtle spice and earth notes, both of which continue onto the serious, rich and relatively full-bodied flavors that are firm, long and quite pure. This is a relatively refined effort for the appellation. *Sweet Spot, Outstanding*
91-94 Points Robert Parker Wine Advocate
From Cathiard’s 65-year old vines, this has a more tertiary driven nose, more introspective at first but opening nicely in the glass and demonstrating some fine minerally scents with further aeration. The palate is medium-bodied, very well balanced with fine but firm tannins, very fresh and poised with cranberry, raspberry and red cherry towards the lingering finish. Excellent.
