Established over three centuries ago in 1692 by Job Bearsley, Taylor’s is one of the oldest of the founding Port houses. It is dedicated entirely to the production of Port wine and in particular to its finest styles. Since its foundation, the company has remained independent.

Among the most saturated blue/purple/black-coloured examples of the vintage, Taylor’s 2000 tasted like a young vintage of Chateau Latour on steroids. Aromas of graphite, blackberry, liqueur, crème de cassis and smoke jump from the glass. Spectacularly concentrated and enormously endowed, with sweetness allied to ripe tannin, decent acidity, and layer upon layer of fruit and extract, this is the leading candidate for port of the vintage.
