Champagne Bollinger, founded in 1829, is one of Champagne’s few remaining family-owned Grande Marque houses. Located in Ay, in the heart of the Côte des Noirs, it is renowned for the high percentage of Pinot Noir it uses and for the extra aging on the lees that its Champagnes receive.
94 Points Antonio Galloni
Pale copper color. Classic Bollinger aromas of toasted nuts, sealing wax and toffee. Then large-scaled, powerful and deep, with strong but integrated acids giving the spice, toffee and brown butter flavors uncanny freshness. With its major chewy extract, this really stains the palate. A classic vintage for Bollinger.

Brilliant. Very distinctive aromas of coconut and vanilla, with oxidation adding complexity, followed by fresh citrus, oatmeal and honey notes. It’s all displayed on a firm, powerful structure that needs time to integrate all the elements. Classy finish. A statement.
