Served at lunch, this ’90 Bolly is showing beautifully at present. A delightful, crisp nose of brioche, apple-blossom, a hint of nougat, praline and cashew nuts all with wonderful definition and vibrancy. The palate is showing very good fruit concentration, very smooth and slightly honeyed in texture, it almost had me guessing that it was another VVF having just tasted the ’92. Great mineralite towards the finish, elegant and beautifully poised with that praline notes coming back on the aftertaste. All you could wish for in a ’90 champagne.
